I got a call from my cousins best friend to make a cake for her friends bridal shower..the cake is a replica of a wedding dress and the "gifts" are lil cake squares...this was the first time I made a cake like this and I thought it turned out quite well.

New Inspiration

I purchased this book recently and have learned so much already. I've seen the author on Food Network a number of times, so I knew I would love everything she wanted to share.

Here's a picture from inside...something that I'm going to attempt within the next several weeks. Anything "mini" and cute makes my heart smile :)

Finally!!!

Finally...cupcake bites! I've been wanting to make these for a while now, and this weekend I made it happen! The top and bottom is melted chocolate with of course, sprinkles on top and cake in the middle. The process making them took a little while, considering it was my first time, but I loved the end product! I already have some ideas of what to do next time...

Happy Birthday Madison

These are cupcakes made especially for Madison who is turning 3 years old! Happy Birthday Madison!

Here they are in my new cupcake boxes...so exciting!

Some wedding cakes I've made :)

I had some extra time one day, and thought I would experiment with some fondant...

A happy little caterpillar...

Father's day

I made these for my own dad last Father's day.He loves golf and I thought these turned out just great!

I was so excited to do these cupcakes for a friend of mine who I haven't seen in, well, probably over a year. The party was held for Lilly, who was turning four! Friends gathered at the community pool with a Luau theme. I think the umbrella's on top were a great accent to the bright orange and pink icing. Hopefully it won't be another year before we see each other again...

First Cupcakes I sold.

Yay for my first order of business! I love to take pictures of my products.I dug this one up from a few years back. These were done for a friend who was giving her boyfriend a birthday bash, and as you can see, he is a Carolina Tarheels fan! I had fun baking and decorating something specific for someone I knew they would appreciate.

Here are some with bubblegum balls on the top for the kids, or should I say, for the those who are kids at heart!

A couple of friends of mine got engaged, and of course, all I can think about was cupcakes! So, I decided to make vanilla with buttercream icing. The flower was fitting for the sweet day that was ahead!

They are chocolate with vanilla buttercream icing with grated chocolate as a topping.

These were, oh so yummy! basic buttercream icing. And, as you can see..a strawberry dipped in chocolate on top!

Noone could make a cake to satisfy me so I made my own 16th birthday cake :)
